A little background...

For SAlvador Sarmiento northcountry NY has been homebase for learning, writing, recording, performing, and helping organize shows since being a Youngster. recently He has been performing with a few different acts  singing, and playing acoustic and/or electric guitar, namely: Mojo Dough Joe (MjDj), his solo project, and some duos.

Crafting a sound for an artist like Salvador  is a life long journey. It transforms and ebbs and flows. from song writing foundations, to learning to play guitar and sing with a band, To learning about Sound Equipment, to learning to work with the larger scene in and outside his Town, the job is never done like a river always changing.

SAlvador loves Being able to share Music with everyone. he finds it humbling, continuously. So, Salvador, has found a taste for crisp full guitar sounds and natural grooves full of explorations in melody. He finds that authenticity in his music comes from experiencing life and great music everywhere, and on some level from working/collaborating with others.

"I have been able to experience music all around the state, the country, and abroad.  It has ingrained in me a passion for the freedom of expression that comes with playing music. Playing guitar and singing is a way of exploring the world and history. I love how lyrics can take you somewhere without having to actually go anywhere. Playing guitar and being a singer-songwriter helps me apply my interests in travel, naturalism, mathematics, sciences, electronics, art, communications, business, community building, computers, the long held tradition of keeping songs alive and sung, etc. all into one focus.

Also, I think music helps make friends and find inspiration to simply enjoy life. For me when I am playing music with others it's so much fun, and life feels like it couldn't get much better. The way it stimulates the mind is quite unique and exquisite. Sure there are ups and downs, and constant work to put in, but I love labor, too. It is very difficult for me to play when I am sad, though. So, somehow a big part of music is a study in ones wellness.

With playing music comes a responsibility to share, support, and explore sharing our ambiance. I am honored to work together with my family, friends, venues, other entertainers, and people in the scene to provide a safe and welcoming ambiance to enjoy for all."
